Start 2017 by treating yourself to the ultimate self-care. On New Year’s Day, Angela Glaz and Kanna Toguchi will lead you through a Yin and Nidra yoga practice, accompanied by gentle Thai massage, that focuses on fully restoring the body and mind. The class will conclude with tea and intention journaling.
If you're not familiar with the following two practices...
Yin Yoga: A Yin Yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.
Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra is a practice that is intended to produce full body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. It's practiced in corpse pose and is often guided through body scans, stories, or imagery.
